On nearly 300 pages Gerald von Foris is working through an ample private collection of animal skulls with great accuracy. Some of the skulls are combined with landscape shots of the animals’ natural habitat - what nearly brings the skeletons back to life in the viewers imagination. Schädel (German for skulls) uses clues of a scientific opus, but in the end is a story book in the best sense of the word.
